Tesla will soon be available to New Zealand customers with an official Tesla Store and service centre said to open as early as the beginning of 2017.
After dropping hints on Twitter, Elon Musk and Tesla made an official announcement last week. The statement released said “In response to overwhelming demand for Model 3 and enthusiasm from owners who have imported their Tesla’s into the country, Tesla has confirmed New Zealand as a future site for a Tesla Store and Service Centre along with sites for Superchargers”.

Word on the grapevine is both the Model S and Model X will be available along with Powerwall and Powerpack products. But with Australian pricing at just over $110,000, it will be interesting to see what the New Zealand pricing will be.
Priding itself on being more of a technology and design company rather than an automaker, the test drive is innovative and unique. The Tesla stores will invite customers to learn about electric driving with captivating visuals, interactive displays and an ultra-modern design studio allowing customers to create their own Tesla.
Tesla New Zealand is currently recruiting for a Sales Manager and Lead Service Technician. If you have a “genuine passion for the Tesla mission to produce the best vehicles in the world, accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy”, this might be a career change worth considering?
