Car Mats
Fitment, safety clips, materials and installation.
How do I know the car mats will fit my vehicle?
Rubbertree has tailored patterns available for more than 2,500 vehicle models. Enter your vehicle’s make, year, model and body type when shopping to find products designed for your exact vehicle.
Our mats are manufactured with fit, safety and vehicle protection in mind. In the unlikely event that there is a fitment issue, contact our customer service team so we can review it with you.
Will my mats include the correct holes and safety fittings?
Where applicable, our tailored mats are designed to work with the original retention points in your vehicle. These fittings are most commonly found on the driver’s mat and, depending on the vehicle, may also appear on other mats.
Some vehicles do not include factory retention points. Where suitable, alternative fastening clips may be supplied.
Will the mats be exactly the same shape as my original mats?
Not always. Original mat shapes can vary between vehicle variants, production locations and original equipment suppliers.
Rubbertree patterns are tailored for the selected vehicle and designed to provide safe, practical coverage. The final shape may therefore differ slightly from the original mats while still fitting the vehicle correctly.
How do I install my car mats?
Remove any existing loose mats before installation. Place each Rubbertree mat into the matching footwell and align the mat with the shape of the floor.
Secure all available retention clips or factory fittings, particularly on the driver’s side. Before driving, confirm that the mat sits flat and does not interfere with the accelerator, brake or clutch pedals.
Should I choose carpet or rubber car mats?
Rubber mats are ideal for work vehicles, outdoor lifestyles, families, pets and drivers who regularly deal with water, dirt, sand or spills. They are durable and easy to clean.
Carpet mats offer a softer, more refined appearance and are a great choice for everyday driving and drivers seeking a more premium interior finish.
Both ranges are tailored to suit specific vehicles, so the best option depends on your lifestyle, preferred appearance and level of protection required.
Seat Covers
Airbag compatibility, fitment and installation.
Are Rubbertree seat covers airbag compatible?
Selected tailored seat covers include an airbag-compatible seam designed to allow the normal deployment of a side-impact airbag. Airbag compatibility will be stated on the relevant product page.
Where supplied, the airbag-compatible side is identified by a tag sewn into the seat cover. This side must be positioned over the airbag side of the seat backrest.
How do I install my seat covers?
Begin by identifying each component and matching it to the correct seat, backrest or headrest. Carefully work each cover over the seat and adjust the material so that it follows the contours of the upholstery.
Secure all straps, ties and fasteners, and align any openings for headrests, seat controls, armrests and seatbelt points.
Allow approximately 30 minutes for front-seat installation and up to 40 minutes for rear seats. Installation times will vary depending on the vehicle and seat configuration.
What should I do if my seat covers initially feel tight?
Tailored seat covers are designed to fit closely and may feel firm during the initial installation. Gently work the cover into position, making sure the seams line up with the contours of the seat.
Check that all straps and ties are correctly secured. If the fit still does not appear correct, contact our team on 0800 200 021 before continuing to use the product.
Boot Liners
Vehicle fitment, non-slip backing and cargo-area coverage.
How do I know the boot liner will fit my vehicle?
Enter your vehicle’s make, year, model and body type to view boot liners designed for your specific vehicle.
Please check the product title and vehicle details carefully before ordering, particularly where a model is available in multiple body styles, seating configurations or generations.
Are Rubbertree boot liners non-slip?
Our carpet boot liners use a backing designed to help keep the liner securely positioned. Rubber and deep-dish boot liners also provide a grippy surface that can help reduce everyday movement of items in the cargo area.
Loads should still be appropriately secured before driving.
Will the boot liner cover recessed storage areas?
Boot liners are generally designed to follow the main, flat cargo-floor area. Recessed compartments, removable storage sections and areas below the main floor may not be covered.
Coverage can also vary depending on the vehicle’s seating position or cargo-floor configuration. Contact us before ordering if you require coverage for a specific area.
Sun Shades
Tailored fitment, storage and installation.
How do I know the sun shade will fit my vehicle?
Our tailored windscreen sun shades are designed for specific vehicle applications. Enter your vehicle details and select the product listed for your exact make, model and year.
The design takes the vehicle’s windscreen shape and relevant driver-assistance equipment into account where applicable.
Are the sun shades easy to store?
Yes. Simply roll the shade up and secure it using the attached hook-and-loop strap. It can then be stored on the rear seat or in the cargo area.
A separate sun-shade storage bag may also be available, depending on the product selected.
How do I install my windscreen sun shade?
Unroll the shade and position it against the inside of the windscreen. Gently guide its edges into position, then lower the vehicle’s sun visors to help hold it securely in place.
Remove the shade completely before driving.
